Well, the votes have been tallied and it’s official.
The James Gang Coffeehouse in Northfield was voted the best coffee establishment in Southern Minnesota. We were totally surprised as we had only been open for 8 months when the contest began and all of the other places had been established for many years with a lot of regular customers.
Thanks to Applauze magazine and to all who took the time to either fax, phone, write or e-mail in their votes for us. It is an honor and a privilege to represent Southern Minnesota, especially when we were pitted against such good competition.
Our espresso and coffee beans are fresh roasted on site daily and you can order piping hot bags of beans to take home and enjoy later. We feature a wide variety of specialty hot and cold drinks as well as bakery items, soup, salad, sandwiches and desserts. Please click the “menu” button on the side bar to view our full offering.
As you know, we provide a comfortable setting done in Prairie style with rich, earth tone colors and many enjoy sitting in one of the two over-stuffed chairs or love seat by the stone fireplace. Our wall of art changes every 45 to 60 days and features the accomplishments of young artists from the surrounding schools.
For Moms and Dads with children, our “Younger Gang” corner features a chalk board, books, toys and a TV / VCR with a wide selection of age-appropriate movies. Both of our restrooms feature handy changing tables to attend to infant needs.
